formulate rules, regulations and policy regarding the medium & large
scale industry according to changing environment and implement them.

To
implement rules, regulation and policy in respect to foreign investment.

To
perform promotional activities on industrial investment and disseminate
knowledge and information in that respect.

To
issue license to prescribed industries and to register all the medium and
large scale industries.

To
provide service and incentives to the industrialist on the basis of existing
rules, laws and policy.

To
work as focal point of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and
to provide services related to industrial property (i.e. Patent, Design
& Trademark).

To
make the industrialist aware about the criteria of environment and adopt
those criteria in industries for which the license is required.

To
approve the industrial project of foreign investment and provide them
consultancy service through providing data, information and replying their
queries.

To
monitor about the establishment and operation of Manufacturing Industries.
-
To
recommend for the issuance of the Certificate of Origin for industrial
product for export to India.

To
take necessary actions for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Initial
Environment Examination (IEE) under Environment Protection Act and
Regulation.
